The Master Plan Program · Copilot and Driver
To get somewhere, you first have to know where you are. Most owners know roughly where they want the company to end up. What they do not have is an honest picture of where it stands today, and without that every plan is a guess. The Master Plan Program fixes both ends of that problem, then keeps you moving between them.
That one question separates this program from every other way of getting advice. With a Pick-My-Brain session or a TimeBlock, the agenda is yours. You call when something comes up, we work on it, and nothing moves until you call again. That is the right tool when there is a specific decision in front of you, and it is what the on-demand advice page is for.
The Master Plan Program is built the other way round. There is a plan and there is a rhythm, and I am responsible for both whether or not you have anything on your mind this week. The sessions still happen, the plan still moves, and someone besides you is accountable for it. Most plans do not fail because they were wrong. They fail because nobody was holding them.
Advice answers the questions you bring. This program makes sure the right ones get asked.
Before anything else I go deep into your business. That means a structured discovery and a working interview with you as the owner, looking across the eight fundamentals every business runs on: mindset, vision, marketing, people, metrics, issues, process and goals.
A clear, unflinching read on how the business is performing in each of those areas. That is where you stand today.
Your goals, your timeline, and what you want your own role to look like when you get there. That is the destination.
The Health Check ends with a high-level roadmap, the major moves from A to B. Inside this program I develop that roadmap into your Master Plan: sequenced, prioritised and specific to your business.
The Master Plan is the working document this whole program is built around, which is where the name comes from. It is not presented and then put in a drawer. It is updated as you go, so at any point you can see what is done, what is next, and whether you are ahead or behind.
You can take that plan and run it yourself. Or you can bring me along for the drive.
Owners differ on one thing, and it is the only real decision here: how involved you want me to be. Some owners have the time and the team to execute. They want experienced judgment beside them, someone who has made this drive before, reading the map and calling the turns before they arrive. Other companies do not need the plan explained. They need it driven, with someone in the room with the leadership team every week, holding the standard and making sure the work gets done between meetings. Copilot is the first. Driver is the second.

Every two weeks we sit down for a working session. It is not a status update. It is real work on the decisions in front of you right now. Every quarter we step out of the weeds and reset the next 90 days. Between sessions you have me on email and phone whenever you need a second opinion, a gut check or a fast decision, so you are not waiting a fortnight for an answer.
I sit in on your management meeting, running the rhythm, keeping the agenda honest and making sure decisions get made and then carried out. Your leadership team sees the plan being driven, not just discussed. Separately, you and I meet one to one every week. That time is yours: the things you cannot say in front of the team, the decisions only you can make, and the pressure that comes with being the owner.
Between meetings I keep the plan moving. I follow up with the people who own each action, unblock them where I can, and make sure that what was committed to in the room actually happens. To be clear about what that is and is not, I am not producing your work for you. Your team executes, and I make sure they do it on time and to the standard the plan demands. That accountability is what most plans die without.
Both options are a single monthly fee with a six-month minimum term. There is no hourly billing, no time tracking, and no nickel-and-diming over a phone call. The retainer covers advisory and execution leadership: the thinking, the cadence, and driving the plan alongside you and your team.
Work products built on your behalf, such as financial models, custom documents, policy manuals and presentations, sit outside the retainer and are quoted as a separate project before any work begins. That way you never get an hourly invoice, and I never have to watch a clock.
Every Master Plan engagement begins with the Business Health Check. It stands alone, so you are free to take the report card and your Roadmap and run with them yourself, with no obligation to continue.
If you do continue, the Health Check costs you nothing. Sign on to Copilot or Driver within one month of receiving your Roadmap and the full $2,500 fee is credited against your first monthly payment. You are not paying twice.
The Master Plan Program is a relationship. It is a rhythm of advice and accountability that keeps going for as long as it is useful. The Self-Sustaining Business Program is a project. It is a build of the systems that let the business run without you, with a start and an end. They compound rather than compete, which is why some owners do both: the program builds the infrastructure and the Master Plan keeps someone holding the plan while it goes in.
It is an ongoing business advisory program for design and construction owners. Eric Lee starts with a Business Health Check, develops the roadmap from it into a working Master Plan, and then either advises you while you execute (Copilot) or drives the plan with you and your team every week (Driver).
Copilot is for owners who have the time and the team to execute and want senior judgment beside them. Eric advises and the owner executes. Driver is for owners who want the plan driven: Eric sits in the weekly management meeting, meets the owner one to one every week, and follows up with the people who own each action so commitments do not slip.
Copilot is $2,500 a month and Driver is $5,000 a month. Both carry a six-month minimum term. There is no hourly billing and no time tracking. Work products built on your behalf, such as financial models, custom documents, policy manuals and presentations, are quoted as a separate project before any work begins.
Yes. Every Master Plan engagement begins with it, because the plan has to start from an honest read of where the business stands. The Health Check stands alone, so you can take the report card and the Roadmap and run with them yourself. If you sign on to Copilot or Driver within one month of receiving your Roadmap, the full $2,500 fee is credited against your first monthly payment.
No. Eric provides advisory and execution leadership: the thinking, the cadence, and driving the plan alongside you and your team. Your team does the work, and the owner stays the decision-maker. On Driver, Eric makes sure the work is done on time and to the standard the plan demands, but he does not produce it.
Then a Pick-My-Brain session or a TimeBlock is the better fit. Those are on demand, so you set the agenda and nothing happens between calls. The Master Plan Program is for owners who need the plan to keep moving whether or not they call.
The Business Health Check is $2,500 and it is credited in full if you continue. You get the report card and the Roadmap either way.
