What would it be like preparing a speech to a blank wall?
What would you say?
What would you wear for this presentation?
What message would you want to send to the wall?
That’s a tough one isn’t it? That’s what it’s like when you don’t have a target audience. You won’t know who you’re looking for when you’re networking. You won’t know what message to send when you’re preparing your marketing campaign. And you won’t know what information to present because you don’t know who your audience is.
The one-size-fits all strategy does not work in marketing. To be very effective in getting your message out, you need to understand who you’re talking to and craft the message specifically for them.
If you want to take it one step further, then find your niche within your target market. This will exponentially help your unique audience to find you!
I did a video on this which you can watch here.
Defining your target audience and finding your niche is a common thing that I help businesses with. Many business owners (new and existing) don’t fully understand their target audience nor do they have a niche and this is what stalls their sales growth.
The first thing I do is take them through a marketing discovery process and with that new found clarity, their sales and marketing results suddenly improve!
If you are feeling your sales growth is slow or you’re not happy with the types of clients you’re finding, then reach out to me and let’s have a conversation!
