I will be the first one to admit that I don’t post on my personal social media. I’m just too busy and don’t feel the need to share every minute of my life with the world. As you can guess, I’m from an older generation….
But when it comes to businesses, I understand why you should keep up your social media profile. Social media, like your website is your digital storefront. It’s what people see first when they are considering buying from you. They will be creeping your profiles before they contact you to see if they “like” what you’re about. So keeping your storefront up to date is important to attracting the right customer through your doors. Imagine going to a store and seeing an empty storefront?
How about going to a butcher store and seeing a display out front full of fruits and vegetables? This is what happens when your digital storefronts don’t reflect your niche or what you’re about. If you haven’t updated your profiles or website for awhile, then go through it and make sure it reflects your niche, your values, and why you exist. Build your digital storefront!
